The vision of Troy Brown

Born and raised in the infamous 3rd World Projects of Hammond, LA, Troy Brown, also known as Louisiana's Don King, envisioned a powerful alternative to street violence. After overcoming personal adversity and setbacks, Troy committed to giving back to his community. His vision became Battle in the Ring, a platform designed to settle differences not with gunplay, but with the discipline and respect found within the boxing ring.

Making a positive impact

At Battle in the Ring, our ultimate goal is to reduce gun violence in our community. We strive to create a positive environment where individuals can channel their energy into something constructive. Through our amateur boxing live events, we aim to inspire hope, foster unity, and bring about lasting positive change for both the community and every boxer who steps into the ring.

Our guiding principles

Battle in the Ring is built upon a foundation of strong principles that guide every aspect of our work. We emphasize discipline, teaching participants the importance of focus and dedication. Respect is paramount, both for opponents in the ring and for community members outside of it. Most importantly, we advocate for thinking before reacting, encouraging thoughtful decision-making over impulsive actions, especially when facing conflict.

"Battle in the Ring has truly transformed our community, offering a path to self-improvement and peace. It's more than just boxing; it's about building a better future."
